Dear Members,

IOD Foundation consolidated on its strategy of serving the differently-abled and deprived members of our society. It strategized on improving effectiveness of its programmes by reaching new categories of deprived and under privileged persons. Identification of beneficiaries and their needs were carried out on refined scientific basis. Four major areas of Health, Nutrition, Employment and Education were selected; and programmes in collaboration with national and international agencies and experts were carried out.

Its activities were planed and executed in an extraordinary style under the able guidance of Mr. Reji Mathew, Secretary General of the IOD Foundation. Companies Act mandates large listed companies to undertake CSR activities. Interestingly enough a large number of smaller companies are also undertaking CSR activity thereby helping deprived people.

A large number of beneficiaries expressed their satisfaction and appreciation for the services provided by the IOD Foundation. Presentations at International Conferences on Corporate Social Responsibility created awareness in International Community about the services being delivered by the IOD Foundation.

I am excited to refer to the impact assessment of project on self-employment of deprived persons who were provided fruit/vegetable vending cards and fruits and vegetable. Feedback indicates that all of them are managing their affairs well and earning for their families living.

IOD Foundation has been recognized as a helping hand. It was approached by cancer patient for healthcare intervention. The confidence of cancer patient indicates confidence in the Foundation. Possible assistance medical reference and finance were provided to the patient.

IOD Foundation has considered various aspects of promoting support for CSR activities through businesses – both public sector as well as the private sector. To achieve this goal IOD Foundation has organised expert consultations in physical mode as well as virtual mode and undertaking activities on the ground. Our interactions at international conferences has also nominated businesses to support more deprived people. This is the motivational awareness creation undertaken by the Foundation.
