Education Support Program:

IOD Foundation organized an Educational Support Program with the Institution for Blind School, Amar Colony, New Delhi with the slogan ‘Bringing light to the Blind’. IODF distributed P2 school bags, pen drives and other stationery items to the blind students as per their requirement. IOD Foundation also distributed Non Perishable food items to these students. Program was organized under Covid-19 protocol. Face masks and hand sanitizers were also provided to all participants. More than 40 underprivileged blind students of their institute participated with IOD Foundation to get support through various education support activities, which can lead to a positive impact on their growth. These activities are empowering the underprivileged blind students to promote inclusive social and national growth.

IOD Foundation launched an “Education Support Programme” at the school for Remedial Class managed and run by Prachodana Social Service Society, IGNOU Road, New Delhi. Reeducation to school drop-outs and underprivileged children as a priority area. Gaps have been identified in on-going schools for the underprivileged children in terms of quality books, stationery and also nutritious food supplement. Approach in terms of providing appropriate support material has been identified in consultation with experts, and a 'support package' has been developed by the Foundation. IOD Foundation distributed stationery /text books/ and story books & food packets to launch this project. A total number of 60 underprivileged students, mostly children from the nearby slum areas are studying at this school. The Prachodana Social Service Society is engaged with IOD Foundation to get support through various education support activities, which can lead to a positive impact on their growth. These activities are empowering the underprivileged to promote inclusive social and national growth.
