Food for Everyone – Free Food Distribution

IOD Foundation organized various programs to help the society's underprivileged during the month of August 2021. These programs were organized keeping in mind the basic necessities for the underprivileged. At IOD Foundation, the focus is upliftment of the people deprived and destitute of the bare minimum for living. For the month of August, the focus was 'Food and Healthcare'; a need amplified due to the pandemic. All the programmes were organized with strict adherence to Covid-19 guidelines.

IOD Foundation organized these programs along with various charitable organizations and NGOs who came forward and supported our cause for the welfare of the underprivileged, namely Akshaya Patra Foundation | Nagrik Foundation | Action Aid Association | SDG Choupal | Amit Sachdeva Foundation | Suvidha Bio Foundation | Rotary Club Gurgaon | ACT Grants and Charitnation.

a) Food Distribution drive at Jasola Vihar

IOD Foundation organized a Food Distribution Drive (Lunch) at Shanti Ashram, Jasola Vihar, New Delhi on August 20, 2021. The beneficiaries for this drive were the underprivileged people from the surrounding area of the Shanti Ashram in Jasola Vihar and children from the slums. The beneficiaries accounted for more than 250 people. To create safety awareness around Covid-19, face masks were also distributed.

b) Food Ration Kit Distribution at Sarita Vihar and Sangam Vihar

IOD Foundation distributed monthly food ration kit to 125 families in Sarita Vihar area and Sangam Vihar area on August 19, 2021. Kit comprised of rice, sugar, pulses, necessary spices, wheat and refined oil and other items sufficient for a four member family. The initiative was organized under the Covid-19 protocol. Program supported by - Akshaya Patra Foundation, Nagrik Foundation and Action Aid Association
